Chemo Session 2 - Round 7

Last Friday Ashlynn had one of her long treatments.  We stayed in the Bunny room at David's House the night before.  She liked cuddling with the mint green bunny.  She had kinda a rough night at David's House, so neither of us got much sleep going into the day, and it only got worse from there.

At the clinic the first few hours went well, and Ashlynn had fun playing with a little boy in the playroom.  At some point I was talking to one of Ashlynn's doctors and we realized that chemo wouldn't be done until the end of June, when I thought it was going to be done by the end of April.  This was upsetting news, I'm not sure where the confusion came from, but regardless it means that we have LOTS more chemo to get through.  The good news is that it's not more chemo because something is wrong.  The day just seemed to get worse from there, I won't go into all the details, but I will say giving Ashlynn a treat of strawberry milk and Oreos was not the best idea I have ever had!  The silver lining is that if Ashlynn hadn't of gotten sick we would have been done by 6pm, that's 45 minutes earlier than any other day.  Once we left we ended up having to turn around and go back to the clinic for an extra dose of anti nausea meds.  I'm sure her next treatment will go better!
