Yesterday we went to the open house at Jenness Farm. We met Kristi, Kallie, and TJ there to play for a little while. The weather was great, and all the kids enjoyed the animals. It was amazing to see how much they have grown since the last time they were all together. Ashlynn wanted to get up close and personal will all the animals, TJ thought they were ok, and Kallie wanted nothing to do with them. All 3 of the kids were chatting, and playing together.

Chemo Round 4 Session 3
Chemo this week was nice and quick! Ashlynn's blood counts were a little low, but since she was acting so crazy her doctors decided she must be feeling ok. Yay- blood transfusion avoided! Ashlynn spent some time playing with the car and coloring while we waited for her blood work to be processed, and he chemo to be made. She loves coloring with the markers. We don't have markers at home, so it's something new to color with! Nurse Dawn did Ashlynn's chemo this week, and she did a wonderful job! We are really lucky that all of the nurses that Ashlynn has are so wonderful. We are so happy Ashlynn is almost finished with her Chemo, if she doesn't have to miss any weeks she will finish on June 8th, and then will have her scans the following week! Getting close!

More Animals on the Farm
When I named Ashlynn's Blog I really didn't expect that in a year we really would be living on a farm. I think with the amount of animals we have now it's safe to say Ashlynn does really have a farm! Over the past few months we have had quite a few new animals join the farm. It started with some chicks that we will raise for eggs, then one night when Garrett and Ashlynn went to do some errands they can home with ducks (Daddy doesn't know how to say NO to his baby girl!). The last addition was the Easter Bunny! Ashlynn loves being around all the animals, it makes it hard to say no. The bunny isn't really a pet, he just hops around the yard. We were expecting him to disappear a long time ago, but for some reason every afternoon he's still hanging around.
The most of the chickens and the ducks are now living outside in their coop, which has reduced the stink factor in the basement quite a bit! Garrett built them a nice self contained area to hang out in during the day, we are hoping this will reduce the number of lost birds. Ashlynn loves to go in the chicken coop and chase the birds around, I think she would be happy doing that for hours!
