Once we got to the hospital we had to go to Pain Free. Ashlynn played for a bit while we signed lots of forms, and talked to her doctors. She did a great job for having an 11:30 appointment and not being able to eat or drink all day. (By the time she got to eat Garrett and I had already had 2 meals). Ashlynn got to wear a pint sized hospita Johny, and even in ugly clothes she looks so cute! After all the paperwork was done it was time to give Ashlynn lots of kisses, and watch her fall asleep. This is by far our least favorite part of the day. Ashlynn procedures lasted about a hour and a half, Garrett and I anxiously paced the hallways, had some lunch, and walked around outside. Finally our pager went off to let us know Ashlynn was starting to wake up. We got back up to her just in time. She was a little cranky and confused for a few minutes, then she chugged a bottle, ate some gold fish and we were on our way. By the time we made it to Concord, about half way home, Dr. Chaffee called us with the good news. All of Ashlynn's tests came back with no traces of the horrible "C" word. We were so relived!!!! We still have 2 sessions of 13 weeks of Chemo, but it will be over before we know it!
Giving Daddy loves before her appointment!
Such a big girl!
